A mama in need
Hey Mamas! (or even non mamas who care to help)
There is a mama who needs our help. This wonderful woman recently fell on some hard times, and her electricity was shut off. What sucks, is they want a HUGE chunk of change out of her. Pisser is, she has the majority of it, but they won't work with her in the least. They want the whole thing.
Alone, none of us would be able to help get her juice back on, but if we banded together, we could make a difference.
She in no way deserves this crap, she has a full time job, two kiddos, she busts her ass.
She is always willing to help anyone out, and probably has helped some of you who are reading this..
My point is, living without electricity, when you aren't set up to do so (composting toilets, for example) is really hard.
The logistics are staggering. The cost of ice alone to keep your food from growing bacteria can blow a hole straight thru your food budget. Having lived without electricity for a good chunk of time, I can tell you it isn't pretty.
